mauvaise presse.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre amalgames, raccourcis et informations erron\u00e9es, de nombreux articles, vid\u00e9os et reportages v\u00e9hiculent une image d\u00e9form\u00e9e de ces v\u00e9los \u00e9lectriques aux pneus larges.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aujourd\u2019hui, on remet les choses au clair.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Fatbike \u2260 v\u00e9lo dangereux<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Premi\u00e8re chose essentielle : <\/span><b>le fatbike n\u2019est pas une cat\u00e9gorie r\u00e9glementaire<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, mais simplement un type de v\u00e9lo \u00e9quip\u00e9 de pneus larges (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre 3,8 et 5 pouces).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En soi, <\/span><b>la largeur des pneus n\u2019a absolument rien \u00e0 voir avec la dangerosit\u00e9 ou la l\u00e9galit\u00e9 d\u2019un v\u00e9lo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un fatbike peut \u00eatre :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">parfaitement homologu\u00e9 et l\u00e9gal<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ou totalement hors cadre l\u00e9gal<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exactement comme un VTT, un VTC ou un v\u00e9lo de ville.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>D\u2019o\u00f9 vient l\u2019amalgame ?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019amalgame vient principalement de l\u2019usage observ\u00e9 dans certaines grandes villes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On voit souvent des livreurs ou utilisateurs circuler avec des v\u00e9los \u00e9lectriques :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tr\u00e8s puissants<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">capables d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer sans p\u00e9daler<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d\u00e9passant largement les 25 km\/h<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Et ces v\u00e9los sont <\/span><b>souvent \u00e9quip\u00e9s de pneus larges<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ce qui les rapproche visuellement des fatbikes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mais il faut \u00eatre clair :<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2192 <\/span><b>ce n\u2019est pas le fatbike le probl\u00e8me, c\u2019est le type de motorisation et son usage.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00eame avec des pneus \u201cclassiques\u201d, ces v\u00e9los resteraient <\/span><b>non homologu\u00e9s<\/b><span fronti\u00e8re est simple\u2026 mais souvent mal comprise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gorille-cycles.fr\/velos-electriques\/250w-homologues\/\">v\u00e9lo \u00e9lectrique homologu\u00e9<\/a> (VAE) doit respecter :<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Puissance maximale : 250 W<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"197\">Assistance uniquement au p\u00e9dalage<\/strong> (pas d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rateur type \u201cg\u00e2chette\u201d, sauf aide au d\u00e9marrage ou assistance pi\u00e9ton limit\u00e9e \u00e0 6 km\/h)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Coupure de l\u2019assistance \u00e0 25 km\/h<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conforme \u00e0 la norme europ\u00e9enne <\/span><b>EN 15194<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c9quip\u00e9 des \u00e9l\u00e9ments obligatoires (\u00e9clairage, avertisseur sonore, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dans ce cas, le v\u00e9lo est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un v\u00e9lo classique :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pas d\u2019immatriculation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pas d\u2019assurance obligatoire<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pas de permis<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Un v\u00e9lo non homologu\u00e9 :<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">D\u00e8s qu\u2019une de ces conditions n\u2019est pas respect\u00e9e, on sort du cadre l\u00e9gal du v\u00e9lo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exemples :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">assistance sans p\u00e9dalage<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">vitesse &gt; 25 km\/h<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">puissance moteur &gt; 250 W<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dans ce cas, le v\u00e9hicule est soit :\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">assimil\u00e9 \u00e0 un <\/span><b>cyclomoteur (s\u2019il est homologu\u00e9, comme un speed bike)<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">soit consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme <\/span><b>non autoris\u00e9 sur la voie publique<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Et l\u00e0, les obligations changent compl\u00e8tement :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">immatriculation obligatoire<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">assurance<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">port du casque homologu\u00e9<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" cat\u00e9gorie souvent m\u00e9connue.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Les speed bikes (ou speed pedelec)<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">V\u00e9los \u00e9lectriques pouvant atteindre <\/span><b>45 km\/h<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Homologu\u00e9s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, mais en tant que <\/span><b>cyclomoteurs<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conformes \u00e0 une r\u00e9glementation sp\u00e9cifique (r\u00e9ception europ\u00e9enne, type L1e-B)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour circuler l\u00e9galement, ils n\u00e9cessitent :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">une <\/span><b>immatriculation<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">une a de fortes chances que le v\u00e9lo ne soit <\/span><b>pas conforme pour la route<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Ce qu\u2019on oublie souvent de dire<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>1.
